SOAFEE and Embedded Computing Design collaborate on campaign to highlight SOAFEE Blueprints
17 Oct 2025
The SOAFEE community has partnered with Embedded Computing Design (ECD) on a new editorial campaign focused on how standardized interfaces and community-driven Blueprints are helping the automotive industry move toward software-defined vehicle (SDV) architectures.
Launching with “Inside SOAFEE”
The first installment, “Inside SOAFEE: From Vision to Blueprints” features a discussion with Robert Day, Chair of SOAFEE’s Marketing Steering Committee, and John Penn, Chair of the Technical Steering Committee. They outline how SOAFEE’s Blueprint program enables members to test and validate ideas that inform standardizations, covering areas such as cloud-native tooling, MLOps, virtual development, and safety-critical workloads.

Next in the Series
The next feature will be a Blueprint Roundtable, hosted by Tobias McBride, SOAFEE’s Blueprint and Member Manager, in an engaging conversation with four of SOAFEE member organization discussing the practical implementations from their Blueprint collaborations, and the exciting future SOAFEE presents for growth and collaboration in the industry. These examples show how open collaboration and common interfaces can improve portability and reduce engineering complexity across suppliers and platforms.
Continuing the Collaboration
SOAFEE’s work with ECD is part of an ongoing effort to make software development for vehicles more consistent, portable, and scalable. By combining validated Blueprints with standardized interfaces, the community is helping to lower integration risk and bring new ideas to production more efficiently.
